This beautiful boy with the sweet face & gorgeous smile is Trey! He's a Pit Bull Terrier who's neutered, current on his vaccinations, microchipped, almost two years old and mostly house trained & crate trained although not a fan of the crate. He hangs out and sleeps in a 4x4 kennel instead of a crate and loves it! He would be happiest in a home without children or cats and if he found a Forever Home that has a female dog his size or larger, who works well with his personality, he'd be thrilled to have a buddy. It takes him a little while to warm up to people but once that happens, they have a friend for life!
Trey was rescued as a stray and has been enjoying life in his Foster Home! He has come such a long way and we're proud of how well he's adjusted to being a pet! He used to freeze when he was touched and now he's a cuddle bug who loves attention! Belly rubs and ear scratches will make him a very happy guy and probably earn you a big smile! He's silly, adorable, full of personality and loves to make people laugh. His Foster Mom enjoys her time with him and will sing to him, he replies by wiggling his adorable butt at her! He flops on the ground when he doesn't want to do something, which is part of his goofy charm, and he shows so much happiness when he sees his Foster Mom every morning, it touches her heart and starts her day off great! Trey also has a sensitive side, which is cute to see, and his feelings tend to get hurt when his Foster Mom's upset with him. He has a sweet face that just asks for kisses, his eyes are beautiful and when you see that big smile of his, you can't help but smile yourself!
Unlike most Pit Bulls, Trey is not energetic and doesn't have much stamina. He enjoys being outside, running around the yard, scratching his back on the grass and hanging out in a kiddie pool. He likes toys yet he has a habit of shredding them and if he could play with just one toy for the rest of his life, it'd be flipflops. He loves them!
Trey is a quick learner but a bit stubborn. He knows the commands Sit, and if food drops on the floor, he knows Leave It and won't touch it. He's treat-motivated so he could probably learn more commands with a patient owner and a good supply of treats. This beautiful boy walks nicely on a leash but does pull. He doesn't like taking long walks and is done after 5 minutes, usually laying on the ground to get the point across - he's such a character! He's been on a few car rides and is a good passenger.
Trey looks forward to becoming a beloved pet and having someone love him for the rest of his life! He'll bring a lot of laughter and happiness to his Forever Home!
